in professionally serving the public through the application
of the National and Provincial Standards within the legal,
economic, and social environment of the Province.
The
ALBERTA
ASSOCIATION
OF THE
APPRIASAL
INSTITUTE
OF CANADA
was registered under the Societies Act of the Province in
1979. Accordingly, the Alberta Association has undertaken
to abide by the Charter and Bylaws of the Appraisal Institute
of Canada and to enforce the Code of Ethics and Standards
of the Professional Practice adopted from time to time of
the Appraisal Institute of Canada. With an Affiliation Agreement
many duties and responsibilities are now handled by the Alberta
Association from their Calgary Office.
One
of the imminent goals of the Association has been to register
under the Professional and Occupational Association Registration
Act, P.O.A.R.A. within the next year.
