Reliance Appraisal Consultants emerged from a general real estate and insurance company, Reliance Agencies, which was established in Lethbridge in 1955. Real Estate appraisal services were formalized in 1963 and a broadened and fully segregated appraisal division was operational in 1972. A change of ownership in 1982 resulted in a total separation of the appraisal division from the real estate and insurance operation and a further change in 1994 now under Reliance Appraisal Consultants Ltd.
Accreditations
AACI
(Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) designates fully accredited membership in the Institute and may be used by the holder in connection with the appraisal of a wide range of property. AACI, P.App (Professional Appraiser) may only be used by a fully accredited (AACI) member and must immediately follow the AACI designation.
CRA
(Canadian Residential Appraiser) designates members qualified in the appraisal and valuation of individual undeveloped residential dwelling sites and dwellings containing not more than four self-contained family housing units.
